310 Sustainable sealing with premium PUR Grouting MULTI-LAYER GROUTING PROCESS In order to be able to operate linear LED lighting concepts safely and without malfunctions in wet rooms, humid rooms, in the outdoor area and especially under water, a minimum degree of protection IP68 must be guaranteed. Completely Waterproof We achieve this complete waterproofness by fully grouting the LED aluminium profiles with synthetic resin (PUR - polyurethane). In a unique process, liquid two-component PUR is conveyed with extreme precision directly into the profile in six layers (when colouring 3-K PUR - e.g. opal). The multi-layer application of the heated synthetic resin prevents air bubbles, inclusions and cracks. Protection for Chips and Electronics The resin covers the LED flexband, the connector wiring, as well as the entire interior of the profile and froms a flush seal with the upper edge and the side ed- ges. The linear LED lighting component is now sealed and completely waterpro- of. Further advantages are offered by the protection of the LED chips and elec- tronics, as well as by reducing the mechanical tension of the aluminium profile.
